In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the next day does not start at midnight like it does in real life. Instead, the day begins at 5 am. This can be a bit of a bummer if you're used to playing late at night, but it's something you'll need to get used to if you want to make the most of your time in the game.
Bugs That Only Come Out at Night
There are 80 bugs altogether to find in New Horizons. 25 of these can only be found at night. Some of these bugs come out as early as 4 pm, while others don't come out until after midnight. If you're looking to complete your bug collection, you'll need to be prepared to stay up late (or wake up early) to catch them all.
Things You Can Do Late at Night
Even though the day resets at 5 am, there are still a few things you can do late at night in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
- Go stargazing.
- Catch fireflies.
- Talk to your villagers.
- Shop at the Nook's Cranny (until 10 pm).
These are just a few ideas to get you started. There are plenty of other things you can do late at night in New Horizons, so experiment and find what you enjoy the most.
